Permissions

Most of the text of our website is written to be shared and is available under a Creative Commons licence.

We encourage you to reproduce our stories and media releases.

We give you limited permission to use the photographs and illustrations with acknowledgement. We don’t own most of the photographs and generally only have permission to use the photographs for reporting on the work in the related story. So, if we’ve published a story about a new hearing aid you may use the photos associated with that story for news stories or articles about that hearing aid. You may not use the photographs for stories about another hearing aid, nor for other purposes – such as book covers or artworks.

If you want to seek permission to use the photos for other purposes please write to me, niall@scienceinpublic.com.au, and I will advise you who to contact.

Acknowledgement

If you are using our text we welcome, but do not require acknowledgement. Please either credit www.scienceinpublic.com.au and the author. For example: Niall Byrne, www.scienceinpublic.com.au

If you are using the photographs please credit the photographer and organisation as noted in the captions associated with the photos.
