Event management and promotion

Science in Public organises and promotes a wide range of events:

  • public lectures and panel discussions, including the ICT for Life Sciences Forum and the Graeme Clark Oration
  • pub nights and other informal public science events
  • award ceremonies for science prizes
  • conferences and scientific meetings
  • media training and other courses for scientists and communicators
  • occasional catch-ups for science communicators in Melbourne

See what we’ve got coming up on the Science in Public calendar.

We’re also keen to use our calendar to promote other key events in Australian science communication – lectures, festivals, prizes, courses, conferences and meetings.

If you’re organising an event that we might promote, or if you’d like to hear how we can help you plan your event, please get in touch with Niall on niall@scienceinpublic.com.au.

Australian Institute of Physics events

As part of our work for the Australian Institute of Physics, we’ve created an online events calendar.

Anyone can post physics-related events, and we maintain the calendar and promote key events through the monthly AIP bulletin and via their Facebook and Twitter pages.
