When you book a training workshop with us, you are committing to attend and also supporting our small business within Australia’s science community. Thank you!

Our workshops, in particular, are complex to organise, with up to five journalists and two presenters.

We also carefully manage the number of participants to maximise the experience for all, and make advance commitments for the venue, journalists, presenters, catering and/or travel.

Open courses

We ask for full payment in advance to confirm your place in a course. You can easily pay online by card when you book and receive a receipt.

If you require an invoice, please ensure that it is paid at least 14 days prior to the event.

If you are unable to attend:

If you cancel up to 30 days prior to the event, we will fully refund the fee.

If you cancel up to 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the event, you will receive a credit which you can use for any of our future workshops around the country or for a 90 minute online mentoring session.

If you cancel less than two weeks out from the workshop, you can send a colleague in your place. It’s your responsibility to ensure that they have all the details and that they attend in your place. We can’t guarantee that individual dietary requirements can be fully catered for at this late stage and will advise if this is the case.

In-house forums and workshops

We ask for full payment in advance to confirm an in-house event.

If you cancel the course, then we will reimburse 80% of the fee less any cancellation costs including travel, payments to speakers etc.

Online mentoring

You can cancel an online mentoring session with two days’ notice

You can reschedule an online mentoring session at any time.

These terms and conditions allow us to both maintain the quality of our events, and operate sustainably.
