The Victoria Prize for Science and Innovation recognises two outstanding scientists this year for their lifelong commitment and achievements. Two individual awards of $50,000 each will be presented – one for work in life sciences and one for work in physical sciences.
Winners will be awarded $50,000 each for a discovery or innovation that has significantly advanced knowledge or has provided commercial and other benefits to the community.
Created in 1998, the Victoria Prize celebrates leadership, determination, endeavour and creativity. Candidates are nominated by individuals, groups of individuals or professional associations.
